The Tel Aviv Port or Namal in Hebrew has been founded in 1936 and for many years it was the main Israeli port but today the port is no longer active, the old hangars were converted into restaurants shops and nightclubs.
A beautiful and fun place to visit during the day and also by night, the sea view is amazing, with the wooden deck promenade, the restaurants, and the shops.
The port is a perfect place for all ages, from the little ones that can play in a huge sandpit in the middle of the promenade or just run wild in the parks around the port or scroll with their bike/scooter in the play areas or in one of the many playgrounds or just have a ride on the big carousel in front of the sea..
For the grown-up, you have an outdoor market and an indoor market, Segway tours or just shopping in one of the leading clothing chains that you can find there. You can sit in one of the open restaurants and let the kids play in the open spaces. Or sit in an indoor fancy restaurant. Or just take on the fly something to eat in the market.
During holidays and festivals, there is always special entertainment going on.
There is free parking at Reading and plenty of other parking although it can get very full up especially on Fridays or during the festivities.
